EDINBURG, Texas — Racers will be treated to big improvements when they come to Edinburg Motorsports Park for the season kickoff with an IHRA Ironman Classic on March 1-2.

A crew from Total Venue Concept did a track profile grind and total track upgrade. They worked to make the drag strip level and smooth for the racers all the way down the quarter-mile prior to the huge racing season coming up at the South Texas facility.

PORT ALLEN, La. — Points races for the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit SuperSeries as well as the track’s SCR Bracket Series are starting this weekend at State Capitol Raceway.

Changes to the program for 2024 are lowering the Sportsman minimum time from 7.50 to 7.40 and not requiring IHRA members to use an X-number for track points. IHRA membership before July 1 is still required to qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.

MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. — More cars equal more money when the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering comes to Knoxville Dragway on March 30.

This will be the first time the East Tennessee track has hosted an IHRA Sportsman Spectacular. Racers in Super Pro (Box), No Box, Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster classes will compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks. IHRA members will also be in the running for limited-edition Sportsman Spectacular commemorative medals.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The International Hot Rod Association is proud to continue highlighting top youth racers across North America.

The latest is Hannah Grace Snipes, a 13-year-old from Heath Springs, S.C., with three years of racing experience. She drives a 2021 Halfscale dragster and her racing heroes include Steve Fast and Courtney Enders.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — There has never been a better time to be an International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) member track with chances to make extra money and attract new racers to your facility.

The IHRA Summit SuperSeries remains the gold standard for grassroots, Sportsman racing programs with over $275,000 in payouts and prizes last season. With over two decades of history, it’s the most prestigious national championship in all of bracket racing. After racing at the local tracks, it culminates with the popular IHRA Summit Team Finals and the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — Crossville Dragway is ready to take full advantage of the International Hot Rod Association Summit SuperSeries program in 2024.

While the Tennessee drag strip is a longtime IHRA member track, this year it’s stepping up a commitment with a strong bracket racing program which includes Box, No Box, Sportsman and Junior Dragster in a series known as Crossville’s Mountain Madness. There’s also a plan to send a team to participate in the IHRA Summit Team Finals.

ODESSA, Texas — Big opportunities await racers when the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering and FuelTech gets off to a roaring start in the Lone Star State next month.

Penwell Knights Raceway will host the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular opener March 16. Racers in Box, No Box, Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster classes will compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks. IHRA members will also be in the running for limited-edition Sportsman Spectacular commemorative medals.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Keith Starr has a vision for Wichita Raceway Park and the International Hot Rod Association plays prominently into that role.

Starr, who has been involved with WRP the last six years, took over as owner of the 1/8-mile drag strip in North Texas in January. He has specific plans in the short term and some exciting ideas long range for a track just 13 miles from the Oklahoma state line.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is highlighting the talented youth across the country in a special series about those who race Junior Dragsters.

Evelynn David, a 10-year-old from New Lenox, Ill., is part of a family of racers with her papaw, dad and brother known as Tuffguy Racing. She will move up to 8.90 class this season at Bunker Hill Dragstrip.

TIMBERLAKE, N.C. — Roxboro Motorsports Park has been providing great racing action since 1959.

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sanctioned track near the North Carolina and Virginia border will do so again in 2024 during the 65th anniversary season. It gets off to a bang with a canned food drive and test-and-tune on March 2, a racer appreciation event on March 23 and the 65th annual Easter Bash from March 29-31.
