BENTON, Ill. — What a first year it turned out to be for Ellis I-57 Dragstrip under IHRA sanction.

The Benton, Illinois track, which was built in 1970, decided to forgo its outlaw status and team with the International Hot Rod Association in 2023. It worked out well for both parties as Ellis I57 Dragstrip saw good turnouts for its bracket program.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The International Hot Rod Association continues to bring attention to the great young racers across North America.

Chas Warpenburg, a 15-year-old from Rochester, Indiana, is the latest driver to be highlighted. Warpenburg is one of the top Junior racers in he Midwest, the defending champion IHRA Summit SuperSeries track champion at Bunker Hill Dragstrip.

HAVANA, Ill. — Midstate Dragway is going back to its roots in 2024.

The track has changed its name from Central Illinois Dragway which it has been known the last several years back to the name when it opened in 1969. It’s similar to the IHRA bringing back the Hot Rod Classic this season with exciting Pro Mod and class racing.

HILO, HI — Surfing is the sport most associated with Hawaii, but there’s also a great tradition of IHRA drag racing on the islands.

Hilo Drag Strip first opened in 1978 and has continued to provide great racing with the Hawaii Drag Racing League and the Big Island Auto Club. With the tropic setting, there is activity all 12 months of the year.
