The excitement level has been ramped up for the program which now features over $275,000 in prizes and payouts to be awards at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals on October 5-7 at Holly Springs, Mississippi. But to participate in the Summit SuperSeries program and compete for the big money and great prizes, you must be an IHRA member.
There are great opportunities to join in the fun with races from the East Coast to Western Canada. Division 1 (Patriots) track Roxboro Dragway in North Carolina has two days of points racing scheduled Saturday and Sunday. Another Division 1 track, Elk Creek Dragway in Virginia, fires up on Saturday.
It truly heats up in Division 2 (Heat Wave) with Saturday races at a trio of Tennessee tracks — Gleason Raceway Park, Music City Raceway and Ethridge Motorsports Park. The action is in Arkansas on Sunday with Centerville Dragway hosting SuperSeries points races.
Dragway 42 represents the Division 3 (North Stars) with an IHRA Sportsman Spectacular event Saturday and Sunday with winners qualifying for the World Finals if they meet the necessary requirements. Texas tracks Paris Dragway and Penwell Knights Raceway have Division 4 (Renegades) races on Saturday.
Saturday is a busy day in Division 5 (Thunder) with points races at five different tracks on the docket. Bunker Hill Dragstrip, Indiana’s first drag strip, is still going strong. Central Illinois and I 57 Dragstrip represent the Land of Lincoln, while further North, there are races at Wisconsin International Raceway and Great Lakes Dragaway.
The aforementioned races at Interlake Dragway bring action to Division 6 (Midwest). Back in Division 8 (South), Holiday Raceway in Alabama and Knoxville Dragway in Tennessee have Saturday races. Pageland Dragway has a Division 9 (Raiders) race Saturday, bringing action to the Palmetto State.
