Pollage, an industry veteran from Plaquemine, Louisiana, has served as assistant manager at State Capitol Raceway for the past year. Prior to that, he worked 10 years at No Problem Raceway, the final two as track manager.
He has over a decade of experience racing in the No Box class and a background as an event organizer through his CP Racing Promotions. Pollage loves the family-oriented part of drag racing and often considers those he sees at the track as his second family.
He loves that the IHRA is committed to the grassroots, Sportsman racers.
“For someone who has grown up around the sport like myself, you know it’s more than just a hobby, it becomes a passion,” Pollage said. “It’s a big responsibility to be an IHRA Division Director, but it’s going to be customer-service based. We become the face of the IHRA and we have the goal to make the racers and tracks happy. I love the direction that IHRA is going and we are working hard to take care of the weekly racer.”
Pollage comes to the team with ideas that add even more value for IHRA track operators and members. He’s excited to roll up his sleeves and get to work, while he is certainly a welcome addition to the team. With Christopher Eager previously announced as the IHRA Northern Divisions director and Pollage with the Southern tracks, it gives the IHRA a pair who are dedicated to the growth of both the organization and the sport.
“Cody’s varied experiences is a true asset to the IHRA moving forward,” IHRA Owner Larry Jeffers said. “He knows the hard work the racers put into their machines. He knows the long hours of the track operators and he understands the dedication it takes from the track operators to give the racers great places to compete.”
Like other members of the IHRA membership, Pollage encourages an open dialogue with racers and track operators. Pollage is looking forward to working with all of them and those interested in becoming new IHRA members throughout the 2023 season. Feel free to reach out to him at cody@ihra.com with any questions.
