The track located near the cities of Paris and Martin, Tennessee will host the IHRA Ironman Classic on Saturday, October 22 as part of their three-day Halloween Havoc celebration.
It’s a huge weekend of racing with bracket racing for the Top Bulb, Bottom Bulb, Sportsman and Junior Dragster classes all three days. In addition, there is trick-or-treating, costume contests and games for the youngsters, along with a contest that rewards both the longest and highest wheelstands, during Saturday’s action packed program.
Gleason Raceway Park’s Ironman Classic features $5,000-to-win races for the Top Bulb and Bottom Bulb classes. Winners of those classes, the Sportsman and Juniors will be crowned Ironman champions on Saturday night.
The IHRA Ironman Classic program is offered to all member tracks. Prior to this program, a sportsman racer could only win an Ironman if they traveled to a divisional or IHRA national event. This program gives local tracks a chance to create extra excitement in their bracket program and offer competitors a chance to win the prestigious Ironman.
