FERRIS, TX — The day has finally arrived. The engines are fired up and the racers’ adrenaline is pumping as the greatly anticipated IHRA Hot Rod Classic is taking to the track at Xtreme Raceway Park.

When announced last year, it brought an excitement to the drag racing community not seen in a long time. Thanks to the support of great partners like Don Baskin Trucking LLC, M&M Transmission, Stroud Safety, Hoosier Racing Tire and TMF Metal Solutions, it’s time for the cars to roar down the beautiful Texas drag strip.

Big money and fantastic prizes like prestigious black and chrome IHRA Ironman trophies and specially designed IHRA medals are on the line at this first event of the season. There are 64-car, $5,000-to-win Box and No Box Shootouts).

The Outlaw Pro Mods are racing for a $6,000-to-win top prize and $2,500 to the runner-up. Real Steel N/T racers compete for $5,000 for the winner and $1,000 for the runner-up. Top Dragster and Top Sportsman payouts include $3,000 for the winner and $1,000 for the other finalist. Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod feature $2,000-to-win and $750 for runner-up.

The big-money, bracket racing showdowns feature $5,000 prize for the Box and No Box winners and $1,000 for the runner-up finishers. Junior racers will go for $750 to the winner and $500 for the runner-up. The Pro Mod Bikes will also be in action with payouts set by the HHoT club.
