Record Number of Racers Pick Up Round Prizes at IHRA Summit Sportsman Spectacular at US131

MARTIN, Mich. — A record number of racers came away with round prizes at the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit Sportsman Spectacular over the weekend at US 131 Motorsports Park. 

With the support of the IHRA’s great partners, round prizes were awarded for the best losing packages of the first three rounds on each day of eliminations.

 

Tom Cliffton picked up a new Summit Racing Equipment 10 x 20 tent after Saturday’s first round of Top eliminations. Also in round one, Paul English in Mod got a Sunoco $100 fuel certificate and Hannah Yerington in Junior received a Summit Racing Equipment 10 x 10 tent. Gary Hull in the Street division got a new Summit single-layer jacket.

 

In round two, Top racer Ed Grzeskowiak was the recipient of an American Race Cars $250 gift certificate. Randy Shelton in Mod received an Abruzzi Transmissions $400 certificate towards the purchase of an 8-inch or 9-inch converter. Aurora Wanamaker got a new Summit Junior car cover, while Jake Huntington in Street has a new Summit single-layer jacket.

 

The third round is the “Moser Money Round” and Top racer David Sherbondy was rewarded with both a Moser $500 certificate and another $200 certificate from Jones Transmission Cooling Systems.

 

Tracy Mulcher in Mod also got a “Moser Money Round” $500 certificate, while Conner Jensen got the “Moser Money Round” $250 certificate for Junior Dragster. Street division racer Ron Hagar is able to sport a new Summit single-layer jacket.

 

Sunday winners kicked off with Top driver Kelly Smith, the owner of a new Summit Racing Equipment 5-layer jacket. Matt Nap in Mod, Aaron Falor in Street and Junior racer Karlie Denbleyker will be looking sharp in their new Summit Racing Equipment single-layer jackets. 

 

Top racer Ryan Sparks received a American Race Cars $250 gift certificate. Paul Silip in Mod got the Sunoco $100 fuel certificate, while Angie Porphir in Street and Alex Kish in Junior won Summit single-layer jackets. 

 

Tracy Mulcher doubled up in round three, getting 10 percent off the purchase of a new Abruzzi Transmission and a $200 certificate from Jones Transmission Cooling Systems. Summit Racing Equipment provided a trio of cool prizes. Nate Alexander in Mod has a new Summit 10 x 20 tent. Mary Stewart picked up a Summit Junior cockpit cover and Donnie Hagar can wear his Summit single-layer jacket.
