Racers Earn Round Prizes at Wilkesboro IHRA Summit Sportsman Spectacular Event

WILKESBORO, N.C. — Multiple drivers came away winners at the most recent International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit Sportsman Spectacular event at Wilkesboro (N.C.) Dragway thanks to the support of the IHRA’s great partners.
Beyond the big prizes for those who advanced the furthest in eliminations, round prizes were awarded for the best losing packages of the first three rounds, 
 
Box racer Jeff Bowman took home a Summit Racing Equipment 10 x 20 tent in the first round. No Box racer Austin Greer was the recipient of a Sunoco $100 fuel certificate and Junior Dragster racer Macey Oxentine won a Summit Racing Equipment 10 x 10 tent.

As the rounds progressed, No Box racer Robert White received an Abruzzi Transmissions $400 certificate towards an 8 or 9-inch converter. Piper Corey picked up Summit Racing Equipment Junior Dragster car cover. During the “Moser Money Round,” Box racer Mark Jones came away with a $300 Moser Engineering certificate and a Jones Transmission Cooling Systems $200 certificate. No Box racer Gil Carty also won a $300 Moser Engineering certificate.

Race No. 2 saw its share of winners as well with Jonathan Harrison taking home a Summit Racing Equipment single-layer jacket. Macey Oxentine picked up another prize from Summit Racing Equipment with a Junior Dragster re-entry certificate.
 
With the action heating up, Brandon Thompson came away with an American Race Cars $250 certificate, while Robert White picked up another prize, a Sunoco $100 fuel certificate. Sid Brewer rounded out the round-prize winners with a Summit Racing Equipment 10 x 20 tent.
