Event Preview: Farmington Dragway hosts busy weekend of Summit Pro-Am Tour action August 22-24

The 2014 IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL Division 9 season continues this weekend August 22-24 at Farmington Dragway in Farmington, North Carolina for a busy weekend of Raiders Division action.

WHAT TO EXPECT: The IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL Division 9 season will continue this weekend at Farmington Dragway. The event will feature two complete races, with the Farmington race taking place on Saturday, August 23 followed by the makeup date from the Mooresville race on Sunday, August 24. The Mooresville race will not be open to new entries.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 22: Gates will open at Noon. Tech will be open on Friday from 1-9 p.m. with a test and tune scheduled for 5-9 p.m.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 23: Gates and tech will open at 8 a.m. There will be two time trial/qualifying sessions beginning at 9 a.m. followed immediately by Pro-Am eliminations.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 24: Gates will open at 9 a.m. and God Speed Ministries will host a church service beginning at 10 a.m. Racing with the Mooresville Pro-Am makeup race will get underway at Noon.

ROAD TO THE TOC: In 2014 the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL is the only road to the year-end Summit Racing Tournament of Champions showdown in Memphis. Only the top three finishers in each class within each division on the Summit Pro-Am Tour will advance to the championship tournament in October to runoff for the 2014 Summit World Championships and $10,000!
