IHRA Division 9 Summit Team Finals Moved to Piedmont Dragway

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — The IHRA Division 9 (Raiders) Summit Team Finals set for Sept. 26-28 have been moved from Darlington Dragway to Piedmont Dragway due to a scheduling conflict.

IHRA President Mel Roth issued a personal apology to the Darlington Dragway staff, racers and especially track president Jeff Miles who were looking forward to having the IHRA Summit Team Finals at their home track. This change falls 100 percent on IHRA. 

If the race needs to be postponed at Piedmont Dragway due to weather, the races will return to Darlington the following weekend.

“IHRA appreciates both member tracks working with us, including a big shout out to Rick Moore and the other folks at Piedmont Dragway for stepping up to host this event,” Roth said. “The goal is always to take care of the Division 9 racers and member tracks.”

Also of note, a team from South Carolina Motorplex will be eligible to compete in the Division 9 Team Finals.
