IHRA Hot Rod Classic at Xtreme Raceway Park is Weeks Away

FERRIS, Texas — The countdown has begun. We’re bringing back the blasts from the past with the IHRA Hot Rod Classic, just weeks away, April 11-13 at Xtreme Raceway Park.

You have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be a part of the first event where big money and unique prizes like prestigious black-powdered IHRA Ironman trophies and specially designed IHRA medals will be on the line. 

Bracket racers, get your entries in for the 64-car, $5,000-to-win Box and No Box Shootouts as limited spaces are still available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Click here for the link to pre-sales.

Entries for all other classes and spectator tickets will also available. While registration will be available at the track, racers are highly encouraged to get their entries in early as planning for parking and other items take place.

The Outlaw Pro Mods will race for a $6,000-to-win top prize and $2,500 to the runner-up. Real Steel N/T racers will compete for $5,000 for the winner and $1,000 for the runner-up. Top Dragster and Top Sportsman payouts include $3,000 for the winner and $1,000 for the other finalist.

Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod feature $2,000-to-win and $750 for runner-up with all the races broadcast on the IHRA-TV channel on YouTube.

The big-money, bracket racing showdowns feature $5,000 prize for the Box and No Box winners and $1,000 for the runner-up finishers. Junior racers will go for $750 to the winner and $500 for the runner-up. The Pro Mod Bikes will also be in action with payouts set by the HHoT club.

Each entry must be an IHRA member and have an IHRA competition license in the ET range of the vehicle utilized during competition.

Crew weekend passes are $75 and a single-day pass for Saturday is $35. VIP Pit Parking Pass is $50 plus credentials for each occupant. Spectator costs are $70 for 3 days or only $25 for a single-day ticket to watch all the action. 

Gates open Thursday at 8 a.m. with a test-and-tune from 3-9 p.m. Racer gates open 7 a.m. Friday and spectator gates at 9 a.m. Racing is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Gates open at 8 a.m. with a last-chance qualifying session at 8:30 a.m. Box-Jr-Bo Box eliminations begin at 12:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies take place at 3 p.m. followed by eliminations.
