Holly Springs Motorsports Park features plenty of camping space including 100 sites with electrical hook-ups. The 1/8-mile drag strip has eight staging lanes, concrete walls, guardrails and a lengthy uphill shutdown area. There’s also LED lighting, an AccuTime timing system and numerous speakers throughout the facility.
Holly Springs own racers have fared well in the IHRA Summit SuperSeries program. Tim Pace drove his blue and silver Mustang to the IHRA Mod (No Box) World Championship in 2021. Tommy Jackson finished runner-up in the Sportsman class at the Race of Champions at this year’s IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.
The track was also well represented at the IHRA Division 2 Summit Team Finals where Holly Springs finished second in the team standings. Steven Bryant won the Top (Box) individual title and Jackson was runner-up in the Mod final to eventual IHRA World Champion Wesley Lockhart.
Holly Springs Motorsports Park’s track champions represented at the World Finals were: Cody Graham (Top), Blake Sanders (Mod), Toof Wren (Sportsman) and Rilee Gately (Junior Dragster).
The track, which increased purses in 2023, also hosts other big-money bracket races, radial races and index racing. Another fun event is the American Hot Rodders Show in September. It features live music and a swap meet in addition to the racing action.
