MAYNARDVILLE, TN — Knoxville Dragway had a great turnout Sunday with the IHRA Ironman Classic part of the Don Cox Memorial Race and second annual Branded Rat Nationals.

The competition was sure to be tough with Knoxville producing more IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champions than any other drag strip over the past decade.

Five racers — Robert Hindman, Phil Combs, Ryan Coppock, Shane Collins and Aubrey Loy — were the Ironman winners.

Hindman won the prestigious Ironman trophy and the $7,500 big check. He drove his orange Ford Mustang to his win in the Pro (Box) final over Josh McDaniel.
