All-Bridges Final Highlights IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Hagerty and Moser Engineering at Union Dragway

UNION, S.C. — Father knew best during last weekend’s International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Sportsman Spectacular presented by Hagerty and Moser Engineering at Union Dragway.

John Bridges roared to the Saturday victory in the Top Eliminator class with his son, Isaac Bridges, the runner-up. John Bridges, a Shelby, N.C. driver who has won races throughout the Carolinas, made it back to Sunday’s final-round where he lost to Harrison Crawford.

Union Dragway continued to be a special place for Crawford. It was where he captured his first Junior Dragster victory, and now it’s the site of his first big-car win.

Back to Saturday action, Brent Hyatt drove his 1972 Chevy Nova to the win over Robert Rayfield. David Hoyt was the winner in Sportsman with Sarah Sinclair his final-round opponent.

Among the younger racers, Kailey Tate defeated Ross Dochterman in the TCR final. Kyle Chapman was victorious in the Junior Dragster ranks with Adam Agee taking runner-up honors.

In the Sunday finals, Ryan Snipes drove his red Chevy S-10 pickup to the Modified victory with Robbie Philbeck the runner-up. Philbeck had a productive day, getting to the final in Sportsman where he defeated Rob Armstrong for the victory.

Haley Paschal was the TCR winner for Sunday with Josey Thompson also making it to the final round. Gavin Whisnant completed the list of weekend winners with his Junior Dragster victory. Hannah Lindsey posted a runner-up finish.

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Sportsman Spectacular presented by Hagerty and Moser Engineering makes its return July 9-10 at Onawa Dragway in Iowa.
