The event is tailored to Union’s weekly racing programs. The 125-mile facility, owned by champion racer John Bartunek, is located just 25 miles from Spartanburg, South Carolina. The track is home to Dustin Carroll, who claimed the first-ever IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman World Championship in 2019.

Union Dragway. opened the 2022 season with a huge turnout at its IHRA Summit SuperSeries event. Damon Smith (Top Eliminator), Vernon Russell III (Modified), David Hoyt (Sportsman) and Wesley Clark (Junior Dragster) were race winners.
