Greathouse, Jackson Wins Headline IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Hagerty and Moser Engineering at Little River Dragway

HOLLAND, Texas  — Leonard Greathouse and Travis Jackson had truly spectacular weekends, winning the Top and Mod classes at the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Sportsman Spectacular presented by Hagerty and Moser Engineering at Little River Dragway.

Greathouse took advantage of Chris Mabry red-lighting in the final to capture the Top (Box) victory. With the win in hand, Greathouse’s dragster cruised down the strip in 7.303 seconds on a 4.98 dial-in. Mabry’s foul spoiled a solid run of 5.037 seconds at 136.40 mph on a 5.04 dial-in.

Jackson was solid in the winning the big check for the Mod (No Box) class. Jackson drove his white Chevy Nova down the track in 6.818 seconds (98.84 mph) on a 6.78 dial-in after a .042 reaction time. Runner-up Ken Crawford fouled at the start as he completed a 6.754 seconds (101.88 mph) on a 6.72 dial-in.

David Huerta won on a holeshot in the Sportsman final. After getting off to a .041 quicker start, Huerta pushed the pedal on his white Mustang for a 8.901-second run (80.76 mph) on an 8.86 dial-in. Robert Schoemer finished in 8.322 seconds (77.51 mph) on an 8.30 dial-in.

The Junior Dragster final featured Evan Welborn rolling to the win with a 7.957 elapsed time at 81.23 mph against at 7.98 dial-in. Aiden Alvares was too quick at the start, disqualifying his 7.959-second pass at 79.90 mph.

The IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Hagerty and Moser Engineering is scheduled to return Sept. 12 at Farmington (N.C.) Dragway.
