Summit Pro-Am Tour event at GALOT Motorsports Park moved to September

Thursday, 08 May 2014

The International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) announced today that the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL Division 9 race at GALOT Motorsports Park has been moved from its original date later this month to September.

Originally scheduled to take place the weekend of May 30-June 1, GALOT Motorsports Park has elected to move its date to the weekend of September 5-7 to accommodate recent reconstruction of the facility and to provide the best possible race for the competitors in the division.

“Due to the harsh winter conditions this year, we have encountered many delays in the progress of completing the reconstruction of GALOT Motorsports Park. In fairness to all of our racers, we feel it is necessary to reschedule the IHRA Summit Pro-Am originally scheduled for May 30-June to the new date of September 5-7,” said Satch Gragg, Track Manager at GALOT Motorsports Park. “Everyone is working hard to complete the construction, but we don’t want our racers’ first IHRA experience to be on a ‘green’ track. We can’t wait to host the great drivers in Division 9 later this year.”
