Midstate Dragway Ready to Begin IHRA Summit SuperSeries Season
HAVANA, Ill. — Midstate Dragway is one of the great International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sanctioned tracks getting ready to begin its IHRA Summit SuperSeries season.
The track, formerly known as Central Illinois Dragway, has long produced some of the top bracket racers in the Midwest. That includes 2021 IHRA Summit SuperSeries Mod World runner-up finisher Jimmy Barrett.
Guaranteed payouts for 2025 make it even more exciting for this year’s racers. For the upcoming weekend on April 25-27, there is a test-and-tune scheduled Friday night with racing on Saturday and Sunday.
There are $2,000-to-win races for the Top ET and Mod classes, as well as for the Quick 16 race which will feature a doorslammer vs. dragster final. The Motorcycle class will compete in a $1,000-to-win race, while the Sportsman and Junior Dragster classes each race for $500 top prizes.
Spectator admission is $10 for Friday night, $20 for Saturday and Sunday. Kids 12-under are admitted free. There’s a $5 discount for military and seniors 65-over.
