Monday, 01 February 2021
WEST PALM BEACH, Fl.- The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) and Summit Racing Equipment announce the continued support of Junior Dragster competitors through the renewal of the Junior Summit SuperSeries.
The Summit SuperSeries for Junior Dragster competitors is the only true World Championship program that brings all Junior Dragster track champions from the United States and Canada together at the Summit SuperSeries World Finals in Memphis, Tenn., October 14-16.

The IHRA Summit SuperSeries for Junior Dragsters features the largest championship prize package in the country paying $10,000 cash to the world champion as well as an Aruba Vacation sponsored by Aroundaruba.com, IHRA Gold Card, World Champion Ironman and a World Championship Diamond Ring.

“We are extremely proud of how IHRA includes the Junior competitors within our big car programs.  Not only do they compete side by side with their big car counterparts in the Summit SuperSeries but they are a part of the member track team that is sent to the Summit Team Finals and they are on the same stage as everyone else all the way through the Summit World Finals” said  IHRA Vice President Skooter Peaco.  “Our World Championship program through the Junior Summit SuperSeries is unrivaled in our industry thanks to our family of member tracks that care for the Junior program on a weekly basis.  Summit Racing Equipment, Aroundaruba.com and our partners that are involved in supporting the Junior program place a high value on the way IHRA provides this unbelievable opportunity and recognition for Junior competitors.”

In 2012, Juniors became involved in the Summit SuperSeries program for the first time with Austin Johnson becoming the first Summit SuperSeries Junior World Champion. In 2017, Luke Schwemler became the first ever Canadian Summit SuperSeries World Champion.

The IHRA Summit SuperSeries also features the quickest Juniors in the country with the Junior Elite license, allowing certain licensed Juniors that meet the rules criteria to run as quick as 7.50.

“Summit Racing is very proud to continue our support of the future stars of drag racing with this incredible program and opportunity for Junior Dragster racers across the country,” said Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Equipment’s Motorsports and Event Manager.  “We are always impressed with the competitiveness of these great racers as they battle for one of the greatest prize packs available to Junior racers anywhere in the world. The opportunity to meet these racers and families is a highlight for us. We look forward to crowning another champion in 2021!”
