Holly Springs Motorsports to host IHRA Division 2 Summit Team Finals in One Week

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — It’s the first of two huge International Hot Rod Association weekends for Holly Springs Motorsports.

The Holly Springs, Miss., track will host the IHRA Division 2 (Heatwave) Summit Team Finals from Sept. 29 through Oct. 2. It comes two weeks before Holly Springs serves as host for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.

Participating teams besides the host facility includes Beacon Dragway, London Dragway, Holly Springs Motorsports, Brainerd Motorsports Park, Buffalo Valley Dragway, Gleason Raceway Park, Gulfport Dragway, Ozark Raceway Park, Crossville Dragway, Centerville Dragway, Music City Dragway, Memphis International Raceway, North Florida Motorplex, and Atmore Dragway. 

Holly Springs Motorsports is the defending Division 2 Heatwave Summit Team Finals champion and Brainerd Motorsports Park was runner-up.

Any Summit SuperSeries competitor, who has an IHRA membership and an “X” number registered and valid according to IHRA records through his or her division’s Summit Team Finals event, can win the Summit Team Finals main event championship and become eligible for the Summit SuperSeries World Finals at Holly Springs Motorsports, October 12-15.

Dustin Chesnut from London Dragway is the defending Top (No Box) champion. Nick Curl from Ozark Raceway Park was the 2021 Mod (No Box) champion, while Brainerd drivers Marty Goldsmith and Maddie Calhoun won Sportsman and Junior Dragster titles.
