The safety of our racers is paramount and the decision was made not to put them at risk, both hauling their equipment to the track and traveling back home. The IHRA is looking at the following weekend, October 6-8, at a location with the space to accommodate a race of this size.
Darlington Dragway already had an event scheduled for next weekend, the weekend prior to IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals, so the location must be moved to another facility.
“We have a large event scheduled for next weekend so moving the Team Finals to next weekend wasn’t an option,” Darlington Dragway General Manager Jeff Miles said. “We look forward to the Team Finals coming back here next year so the racers can again have the legendary Darlington experience.”
