Friday, 12 December 2014

The International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) is excited to announce a brand new and ground-breaking partnership with JR Race Car naming them the Official Junior Dragster of IHRA Motorsports.

The three-year partnership will name JR Race Car the Official Junior Dragster of the IHRA, as well as showcase JR Race Cars’ championship-worthy creations in the IHRA’s most prestigious series, the Summit Racing Equipment SuperSeries presented by AMSOIL. JR Race Cars will once again be providing the championship dragster awarded to the winner of the Summit SuperSeries Junior Dragster program at the Summit World Finals, as well as being heavily involved in all junior dragster activities with the IHRA.

“We are thrilled to welcome JR Race Cars as the Official Junior Dragster of the IHRA. Their expertise and dedication to the junior racer is something that we greatly value as we work together to further the exposure of our future generation of racers,” said Dan Driscoll, IHRA Drag Review and Contingency Sales Director at IHRA Motorsports.

Based out of Greeley, Colorado, JR Race Car has been an industry leader in the Junior Dragster market for over 20 years. Founded in 1992, JR Race Car began manufacturing parts for the newly accepted Junior Dragster class shortly after its creation and has since evolved into the complete design and creation of some of the most innovative junior racecars on the market.

“We are excited to team up with IHRA to become the Official Junior Dragster of IHRA. This is a great relationship and we are looking forward to combining our efforts as we look to the future of junior dragster racing and strive to make the sport better for current racers and the racers of the future,” said Chris Barth, President of JR Race Car.

JR Race Car partnered with the IHRA in 2014 in the complete design and build of the Summit SuperSeries Junior Dragster, awarded to the winner of the Junior Dragster class at the Summit Racing Equipment World Finals. Through that relationship, JR Race Car is excited to once again partner with IHRA in all of its junior racing activities.

“In October we presented a custom Junior Dragster to the winner of the Summit SuperSeries in Memphis. During our time in Memphis, we met a lot of great people from both Summit and the IHRA and the exceptional treatment received made this an easy decision,” Barth said. “We have learned that IHRA is an innovative company, and that is something we want to be a part of in the future.”

JR Race Cars will be prominently featured at numerous IHRA events throughout the 2015 racing season. For more information on JR Race Cars, visit them at www.jrracecar.com. And for more information on the IHRA Junior Dragster program, visit www.ihra.com.
