26 Palm Beach International Raceway has it all for the motorsports enthusiast in one of America’s premier vacation destinations. The acclaimed motorsports facility in Jupiter, Fla., has a 2.2-mile road course, an 8/10-mile go-kart track and an all-concrete drag strip sanctioned by the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA). The state- of-the-art facility hosts over 350 events year-round which includes sportsman and professional drag racing, driving schools, endurance races, autocross, car shows and special events. PBIR is home to the Palm Beach Driving Club (PBDC), a private members-only club for automotive enthusiasts, and resident driving school Bertil Roos Racing School. Founded in 1964, it has hosted rock royalty as a musical venue. The “Palm Beach Arts International Music and Arts Festival” in 1969 drew comparsions to Woodstock with over 40,000 people attending to see such acts as the Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Steppenwolf and Jefferson Airplane. Since then, such artists as Eric Clapton have performed at the facility and it has been home to other cultural and musical festivals. PBIR’s original race track is a 1/4- mile, IHRA-sanctioned, all-concrete drag strip, which features LED scoreboards, a Compulink timing and scoring system, excellent bleacher seating and concrete guard walls through the shutdown area. It is home to the IHRA Summit SuperSeries weekly program and several major events including the original Super Chevy Show. This year will mark the 37th year for the Citrus Nationals, presented by the South Florida Chevy Dealers. With different racing circuits at the facility, PBIR has also hosted a number of unique events such as Domestics vs. Imports which features both a drift off at the road course and a race off on the drag strip. The state-of-the-art road course boasts a FIA-certified, 10-turn, 2.034-mile circuit with some of the fastest and most challenging corners and offered by any track in North America. It is approved as an IndyCar testing facility. It showcases a seamless table-top smooth finish, full lighting, soft barriers, run-off areas and hosts a variety of driving schools. PBIR also features in-house catering, food and beverage services. It is available for corporate team-building events and track-day rentals with emergency personnel on-site for all events. It is also home to Palm Beach Driving Club, the pre-eminient, members-only club for automotive enthusiasts in the United States, The elite club offers weekly, year- round track programs to automotive enthusiasts and allows drivers to tailor the program to fit their lifestyle.
