23 Paige Montgomery, a teenager from Alden, N.Y., had the most dominant stretch of any driver in the IHRA Summit Sportsman National Championship. She had four wins and five final-round appearances over a six-race stretch to capture the JR Race Car Junior Dragster title. She swept races at Maryland and Empire, and reached the finals and semifinals in races at Keystone. Montgomery was also the IHRA Summit SuperSeries track champion at Empire Dragway in New York and advanced to the fourth round of eliminations at the IHRA Summit World Finals.
