The IHRA Ironman Classic program is offered to all IHRA member tracks. Prior to this program, a Sportsman racer could only win an Ironman if they traveled to an IHRA Summit Team Finals, Sportsman Spectacular or World Finals. This program gives local tracks a chance to create extra excitement in their bracket program and offer competitors a chance to win the prestigious Ironman.

Muncie Dragway hosts the Street Car Race Wars on Friday night. The IHRA Ironman Classic takes place Saturday with class winners in Top (Box), Mod (No Box), Sportsman and Junior Dragster competing for the Ironman trophies and an increased purse thanks to Ford’s Transmission. There are also Quick 8 door car and dragster shootouts. It’s also the last night of track points for the IHRA Division 5 (Thunder) Summit Team Finals.

Humboldt County Dragway has a test-and-tune Friday night with a Gamblers race to follow. They have IHRA Summit SuperSeries points races Saturday and Sunday. There are also Pro Stocks on Saturday, while the aforementioned race for the IHRA Ironman trophies caps off the huge weekend of racing.
