Trick Flow Specialties Sets New HP Record On Summit Super Series Engine

Thursday, 01 October 2015

The crew at Trick Flow Specialties has once again raised the horse power bar with their latest effort for the American Race Cars Summit Super Series dragster.  The 572 Big Block Chevy is currently being fitted between the American Race Cars frame rails in preparation for delivery to the Summit World Finals in Memphis.

Before the engine left the shop the boys put it on the dyno and put a mild tune up in it and put a dyno lap on it to make sure the engine was happy.  What resulted was the highest horsepower pull from a Summit Super Series engine yet.  The result of their efforts and from using the best parts from a host of top manufacturers was 1071 horsepower and 802 ft. lbs. of torque.  This should rocket the dragster to ET’s in the 7.40’s.

The best part of the entire build is that you can build the exact same engine straight out of the Summit Racing Equipment catalog.  All components came from top manufacturers such as Trick Flow, Holley, Earl’s, SCE gaskets, Jesel, Crower, Wiseco, Clevite, Meziere, MSD, ARP, ATI.  In fact, you can click here to request a catalog and start building your own engine for next season: https://www.summitracing.com/catalog?ibanner=HP50B18

The Trick Flow crew captured the first full pull on the engine and we’ve put the video on the homepage of ihra.com and on our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=79&v=7lMO37EeROY

Enjoy the sights and sounds of Trick Flow’s serious horsepower!
