San Antonio had been seeing it’s fair share of rain for the week leading up to the March 31st Kumho Street Warriorz event, but Saturday proved to be hot enough of an event to throw mother nature off-kilter. The skies stayed clear throughout the day as racers prepared to head to San Antonio Raceway. The ’07 season once again proved to bring even larger turnouts as SAR was slammed with participants.

“ It was perfect man,” said Josh Tremmel. “Everyone was waiting to get their rides back out on the streets, and tonight proved to be the place to throw down.”

The staging lanes were quickly filled with everything from rust-bucket minivans to show quality street racers. What San Antonio proved was that the city needed a night of racing, show cars and car audio competition. Dallas had better watch out, as the Street Warriors series is headed for Redline Raceway on April 14th.

The United States Autosound Competition car show proved to be one of the biggest in the season history, with Scion vehicles showing in huge numbers. Thanks go out to scionevents.com for spreading the word and getting some of the finest Scion show cars in Texas out to SAR. The Outlaw SPL drew some hardcore competitors as the bass-blasting continued through the night.

One of the constant highlights of the series is the Kumho Barely Legal Bikini contest, and San Antonio proved to bring the beauty. With kicking music, gorgeous bikini models and even a bottle of water or two, it’s hard to go wrong.

The event was made possible through strong support from 1800-SAFE-AUTO, Universal Technical Institute, Torco and Redline Revolution.

Look out Dallas, the Kumho Street Warriorz train is bearing your way!
