There was a strong turnout Saturday night with Mashburn’s Collision Center sponsoring the $5,000-to-win Super Pro and $2,500-to-win No Box classes.
The remaining racers in Super Pro (Box), No Box, Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster classes will still compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks on the 1/8-mile, all-concrete drag strip. IHRA members will also be in the running for limited-edition Sportsman Spectacular commemorative medals.
They can gain entry to the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering by winning the main event in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races (an IHRA-member track Summit SuperSeries team race or Sportsman Spectacular) before the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals. Current IHRA membership is required.
Speaking of current, the track has updated its point standings. Rex Hubbard is the current leader in Super Pro with John Taylor second. Cade Jones holds a 10-point lead in No Box over David Ciarloni and Diesel Higgins. Todd Berry is the Sportsman leader, while Tim Layton (Bikes) and Kaylee Gray (Junior Dragster) head up their respective classes.
Kyle Cunningham, Chris Blair and Noah Hood were IHRA Contingency Connection recipients at the event.
