“Obviously the entire country is cancelling or postponing events right now to reduce exposure at mass gatherings and IHRA is following suit with our events next weekend,” said IHRA Vice President Skooter Peaco.  “While we are confident that our racer oriented events would not pose the same risk as the typical public mass gatherings, we do have issues with racers traveling in from out of town and air travel for some IHRA staff that we want to mitigate.  We are using guidance from the states of North Carolina and Mississippi regarding limits on public gatherings for this postponement”.

Local Farmington and Holly Springs racers should contact the track regarding the status of the track for next weekend as the track may still be operating their own program.

IHRA will announce rescheduled dates for these two events in the coming weeks.  All remaining IHRA Sportsman Spectacular events scheduled for May and beyond are still on schedule.
