IHRA, God Speed Ministry & KF Trucking Team Up for Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts

Wednesday, 30 August 2017

The International Hot Rod Association and God Speed Ministry are accepting donations this weekend at the Summit Sportsman National Championship event at Carolina Dragway in Aiken, S.C., for those impacted by the devastating flooding in southeast Texas.

Kenny Farrell’s KF Trucking will provide a semi-trailer at this week’s IHRA event to collect supplies.

People are encouraged to donate tools for rebuilding efforts, along with other non-perishable items, especially “pop-top” canned goods that do not require can-openers, bottled water, MREs that are still in-date, cleaning supplies such as bleach, gloves, mops and garbage bags. Also, personal hygiene products like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, diapers and wipes. Please, no used clothing. Heavy-duty, large trash bags and large boxes are needed to pack supplies.

Kenny Farrell will drive the truck to Dickinson, Texas to deliver the supplies. God Speed Ministry Chaplain Bill Dickerson who lives in Dickinson is coordinating with local churches and local agencies to distribute the donations.

Volunteers will be needed at Carolina Dragway to sort and pack donations.  Please contact Renee Bingham at 704-692-2452 or renee@godspeedministry.com to volunteer.
