Left Lane: Mark Cox Runs 6.484/205.88, Now #1
Right Lane: Joe Scatella Runs 11.690/77.62, Now #2
12:42 PM It's 71 degrees, 30 percent relative humidity, barometer 30.10 and
falling, the skies clear blue.
Nice opening pass by Cox. Scatella blew the
rear tire loose and slowed.
Left Lane: Mike Romine Runs 13.190/60.93, Now #3
Right Lane: Steve Stordeur Runs 18.817/50.78, Now #4
Both launched and both engines went sour at almost the same time.
Left Lane: Doug Vancil Runs 6.472/202.79, Now #2
Right Lane: Johnny Mancuso Runs 6.428/219.12, Now #1
Vancil made several nice exhibition runs at the recent Mac Tools U.S. Nationals and
made another here, but it was Mancuso who reset the track elapsed time record in a
nice side-by-side effort.
Left Lane: Ray Price Runs 28.967/89.36, Now #8
Right Lane: Mark Conner Runs 6.585/207.34, Now #4
This one was expensive for Price. The bike labored and then the engine let
go in a flash of flame, aluminum parts scattering all over the lane. Meanwhile,
Conner made a good run. There was no oil on the track, so it appears it was a
top-end "boomer."
