Mark Conner went long and rolled into the sand.
Left Lane: Jack Romine Runs 18.673/44.21, Now #3
Right Lane: Mark Revels No Time, Now #4
Revels broke on the burnout. Romine had problems right off the starting
line.
Left Lane: Doug Vancil Runs 6.500/189.27, Now #1
Right Lane: Johnny Mancuso Runs 6.602/203.25, Now #3
Vancil with a great looking pass here.
Left Lane: Mike Romine Runs 6.471/210.03, Now #1
Right Lane: Steve Stordeur Runs 6.471/0.00, Now #2
Both bikes launched hard and carried the front tires to about half track and
then ran identical E.T.s and Stordeur got a bad mph reading, so Romine will get the
number one position for now.

was able to get it down the track this time.

Romine lost a belt and then had a big bang about 330 feet. Conner's bike went

Price made a quick move toward the guardrail and fought it all the way down
the quarter mile. Stordeur with a great looking pass straight down the groove to
set the track E.T. record.

Romine with problems early in the run and clicked it off. Mancuso puts the
Mancuso racing teammates one and two with good clean pass.

This was a good side-by-side drag race, but neither driver will improve.

These two were glued together all the way down the quarter mile and Vancil

Price launched with the front wheel in the air and was a little loose, but
still had his quickest pass of the weekend.

Stordeur was out of the gate first and blasted on through for the win as
Revels
broke the chain as soon as he got on the throttle.

(L) Mike Romine (Chromatic Inc '01 Weekend) 0.471 6.682 182.37
Romine with a big starting line advantage as Vancil was real late on the tree.
Vancil with his quickest pass of the weekend and he needed it as he caught Romine
past 1000 feet. Vancil will have lane choice over Stordeur in the semifinals.

Romine with a starting line advantage, but Mancuso had the difference made up

Conner broke right off the line and all he could do was watch as Price spun
the tire and the bike fishtailed to about 330 feet. Price will give up lane choice

Vancil with the starting line advantage and never looked back with his
quickest pass of the weekend to take the win light. Stordeur was not able to repeat
his time from round one.

Mancuso smoked the tire right off the starting line and then bogged while

This the fourth final for Price and the third final for Vancil. This is a
rematch of the Rockingham final, and Vancil did it again to become the first two
time winner of the year. Vancil with the light and just drove away as Price had
problems early in the pass.
