      Left Lane: Bruce Litton     Runs 11.959/74.13, Now #8

     Right Lane: Jack Ostrander   Runs 5.250/286.44, Now #3
                                  Best prior run: 5.250/286.44, Was #1
Litton launched with the front end in the air and rattled the tires before he clicked it off. Ostrander started to loose traction and pedaled it one time before he drove it on through the quarter mile.

Both cars shook the tires right off the starting line and clicked 'em off at the same time.

Dean with instant tire smoke and clicked it off. Romine with a good looking pass with the header flames shooting over the top wing all the way down the 1320.

Millican keeps the candles lit and the Goodyears stuck all down the quarter mile for the number one spot. Sipple lost traction right off the starting line and shut it off

Ostrander with severe tire shake right off the starting line. Litton was able to get it to hook up, but then burnt up a couple of piston on the top end.
Left Lane: Roger Dean 		Runs 5.289/275.51, Now #5
				Best prior run: 11.503/80.56, Was #8
Right Lane: Donald Reed 	Runs 5.875/163.89, Now #6
				Best prior run: 10.364/82.10, Was #6
Dean dropped cylinders right off the starting line, but stayed with it. Reed was on a good pass until about half track and then had a big fireball.
Left Lane: John Sipple 		Runs 5.396/248.75, Now #6
				Best prior run: 9.874/92.24, Was #7
Right Lane: Paul Romine 	Runs 5.022/283.43, Now #2
				Best prior run: 4.928/292.52, Was #2
Sipple dropped cylinders at the hit of the throttle, but stayed with it. Romine with no visible problems, but slowed from his pass last night.
Left Lane: Josh Starcher 	Runs 5.083/267.32, Now #4
				Best prior run: 10.404/80.99, Was #8
Right Lane: Clay Millican 	Runs 5.184/193.13, Now #1
				Best prior run: 4.862/297.81, Was #1
Millican with a 0.852 60-foot time and then started to lose traction and then drop cylinders from just past half track on through the 1320. Starcher started to haze the tires around half track, but was able to drive around Millican on the top end. After the finish line there was a big flash of flame and he used up an engine on that pass.

Litton launched hard and was on a great looking pass until about 1000 feet and then he must of lost a blower belt. Ostrander started to loose traction and pedaled it and then had a huge fireball around half track.

Reed started to loose traction and was off and on the throttle one time and could not get it to hook up, so he clicked it off.

Romine with a great looking pass as he keep the candles lit all the way through the quarter mile and the Goodyears stuck, but just missed the number one spot by 0.004 seconds.

Millican with the quickest and fastest pass in IHRA history end the "Night of Fire". This was a picture perfect pass.

Allison with a great light and then started to shake the tires and then just blistered the hides. Starcher started to haze the tires around half track and then it started to mix up cylinders. He finally clicked it off around 1000 feet.

 (L) Roger Dean (Rupert Oil Dragster)            0.626      8.046  97.90
Litton with his best pass of the weekend and real nice looking pass. Dean dropped a bunch of cylinders as soon as he hit the throttle to end his day.

Romine with the starting line advantage and with the conservative set up will moved into the next round. He will give up lane choice to Litton in the next round. Sipple dropped a cylinder right off the starting line, but stayed with all the way through the quarter mile. Sipple had trouble getting it stopped and went into the sand.

The sky is partly cloudy, the temperature is around 58 degrees, humidity is 32% and the barometer is 30.24 inches. Romine is out of the gate first, but dropped a cylinder right at the hit and never did pick it up. Litton is able to chase Romine down by the 330-foot mark and has his quickest pass of the weekend.

Millican with the light and another great pass as him keep the Goodyears stuck all the way down the 1320 and that pass is fastest enough to back up his 326.63 mph pass for a World mph record. Starcher had a hole out around half track and finally clicked it off.

Millican is out of the gate first and was never challenged as Litton was up in smoke as soon as he hit the throttle. Millican stays undefeated for the year and takes a commanding points lead . What a great weekend for the Werner team setting both ends of the World record and taking home the win, too.
