5:49 PM The "Night of Fire" is beginning a bit early because of possible rain later tonight. Right now it's "spitting" occasional raindrops, not enough to wet the surface, but enough to make race officials nervous. Alvise got the wheels way in the sky, but Adams had too much muscle for the Mopar.

6:52 PM These two ran within 0.007 seconds of each other in round two. Corda got a small holeshot, but Bogan ran it all the way through for the win and low ET of the meet. Bogan's incremental times: 60ft-1.336 sec., 330ft-4.044, 660ft-6.348/105.71mph, 1,000ft-8.365

Ouch! Morgan got the holeshot, but stood the Camaro on the rear bumper, almost vertical, and the car hung there, heading for the wall. It came down hard, bounced several times, and brushed the wall. Adams meets Bogan in the finals, Corvette against Camaro.

7:27 PM By two thousandths, Adams misses a perfect light the wrong way. Bogan doesn't save anything, duplicating his semifinals run to the thousandth and within 0.01 mph. Awesome!
