 BUDDS
CREEK MD - SUMMIT FastNews - Ann Peto, Burton, Ohio, was injured
when her J/Altered '32 Bantam overturned several times after
completing her second qualifying run at the 10th annual CARQUEST
Auto Parts Nationals.
Peto was unconscious immediately following the accident and
complained of lower back pains after regaining consciousness.
She was awake and alert when transported by helicopter to Prince
Georges Trauma Center in Hyattsville, Md.
Late Friday
evening the report from the Hyattsville Trauma Center was that
Peto suffered a slight compression fracture of the lower spine and
is otherwise uninjured.
She will remain in the hospital overnight for pain management and
should be released on Saturday.
