10:42 AM The quick-8 races were postponed from last night in order to get
the final Pro qualifying session in and that turned out to be a good idea because
it started to rain again right after the fireworks. Now we're racing into fog at
the top end of the track, but the fog is lifting and the forecasts look pretty good
for the rest of the day.
Gleason left before the tree and that was a break
for Sinke, his '36 Oldsmobile shaking so hard it hopped off the starting line.

Tiffe left Nielsen sitting at the tree and when Nielsen finally hit the
hammer he spun the tires and danced hard, then shut it off.
(W) Harry Rockwell ('92 Probe) 0.612 6.459 214.84
(L) Rick Sornberger ('68 Camaro) 0.542 7.056 200.44
Rockwell was late, but Sornberger's car was sluggish off the line and
Rockwell won easily. He will face Tiffe in the semifinals.

(L) Dave Tomasino ('69 Camaro) 0.000(R) (Broke)
Tomasino left before the tree and then Janzen shook very hard, coasting
through. Janzen advances to race Sinke.

9:18 PM This is a final because the other two cars broke and could not
return. Tiffe left before the tree, making it simple for number one qualifier
Janzen.
