12:18 PM Under hazy skies and with cool temps, we should see some quick runs
today. Watford slowed immediately, couldn't see why. Full pass for Walters.

DeMory's car bogged, then took off. Konigshofer sets the bar very high for
those who follow.

Baker shook and then broke on the launch, almost coasting to a stop before he
got it refired and drove it away. Nice pass by Alesci, clean and smooth.

Two nice passes here, just a few thousandths of a second and a fraction of a
mile per hour apart.

Two more clean passes, the field getting quicker and quicker.

Holzer got the wheels way up and then the car slowed. Pretty good run by
Spiess, but only good enough for the bottom part of the ever-quickening field.

Two more good runs, the first-round bump spot now a 6.730!

Leggett was on a new-car single and made a very good first pass, the first
time we've seen him, solidly in the field and lowering the bump to 6.702 with
three rounds remaining!
Left Lane: Richard Penland No Time, Now #27
Penland came up to make his inaugural pass in Pro Stock, but had problems on
the line and didn't make a run.
Right Lane: Wally Stroupe Runs 12.981/83.66, Now #24
New car for Stroupe, a '01 Pontiac Grand Am, so he also got a solo pass. The
new car blues did him in, the car turning hard right on the launch, barely missing
the wall.

again with a fine pass, but Kirk's car wagged its tail several times and he
slowed.

Pro Stock hit the track first. Montecalvo gets out of shape at the start, giving
the easy win to Collins.
