DARLINGTON, S.C. - SUMMIT FastNews - Notes from round 2 qualifying
in Show Cars at the 28th annual Prolong Super Lubricants Winter
Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this
round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed
time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Mike West Runs 8.157/190.51, Now #3
Best prior run: 8.354/184.83, Was #3
West picks the pace up a bit on his final pass of the event,
breaking into the 190 mph range for the first time. He's made very
few passes on the bike and had top-end aero problems in testing,

lift him off the bike.
Left Lane: Ken Nelson Runs 13.186/98.09, Now #4
Best prior run: 12.843/97.06, Was #4
Nelson gets a little colser to the century mark with the
"Cool Bus" wheelstander.

Best prior run: 5.107/306.67, Was #2
Right Lane: Jack Dustman Runs 5.000/317.19, Now #1
Best prior run: 5.059/316.90, Was #1
Ermintraut picks the pace up a bit in the late afternoon air, but
so does Dustman, the outcome the same as their first matchup.
