ROCKINGHAM, N.C. - SUMMIT FastNews - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Outlaw at
the 2th annual CARQUEST Autumn Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time,
top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Mark McElwee Runs 14.238/54.56, Now #2
Right Lane: Gary Leczner Runs 6.663/205.54, Now #1 Here we go after an hour rain delay. With only three races left in this
category Laurie Cannister is leading the points race. McElwee had problems right
off the starting line.
Left Lane: Ed Lyons Runs 6.510/211.36, Now #1
Right Lane: Mick Snyder Runs 8.112/112.76, Now #3 Lyons made a move toward the centerline, but reeled it back in and drove it on
through. Could not see any reason for Snyder shutting off.
Left Lane: Mike Decker Runs 10.307/80.36, Now #5
Right Lane: Laurie Cannister Runs 6.177/222.88, Now #1 Cannister launched into tire shake and drove it on through for the number one
spot. Decker had problems by the 330-foot mark and coasted on through.
Left Lane: Neal Parker Runs 0.000/0.00, Now #1
Right Lane: Scott Ray Runs 16.001/47.61, Now #8 Parker broke on the burnout. Ray had a lot of tire shake and clicked it
off.
Left Lane: Jeff Chatterson Runs 6.799/202.06, Now #6
Right Lane: Dave Christensen Runs 6.402/214.35, Now #3 Chatterson launched into tire shake and smoke, but stayed with it to get in
the show for now. Christensen jumped into the number three spot to wrap up this
round of qualifying.

Here we go with the last ever round of Pro Outlaw qualifying. We start with a
couple of driver on the outside of the show. Decker used up all his lane and
got close to the wall. When he corrected it to get back into the groove there was a
big fireball, but he kept his foot in it to make the show.

Neither one of these drivers will make the show. Cagle had a bunch of sparks
coming from his car as he crossed the finish line.

Cannister comes off the line and has severe tire shake. She lifts, gets back on the
throttle and goes through for the win. Decker has the same problems and gives up on
the run.

Haddock comes off the line, shakes the tires, then gives up on the run. No
problems for Parker, the car in the groove all the way down the track.

McElwee runs his quickest pass of the weekend but Snyder makes a perfect pass

Lyons pulls the wheels and suffers a little tire shake. He then veers towards
