Tulsa Raceway Park, L.L.C. proudly announces the purchase of Tulsa International Raceway on December 22, 2003. Built in the mid sixties, Tulsa International Raceway had been host to several national events.

Tulsa Raceway Park manager, Dan Guterman, is looking forward to completing many track improvements that will allow for the hosting of IHRA national events again. Among the immediate improvements: extending concrete to 660" feet, 4,000 new grandstand seats, an 8,000 square foot timing tower to house concessions, a souvenir shop, restrooms, a press room and suites, and ten additional acres of paddock. Also on the horizon for completion in September, 2004 is a 2.3 mile road course with a full slate of regional, club and national races planned for 2005.

"The staff of Tulsa Raceway Park and I are very excited to be a part of the IHRA community and racing in Tulsa," said Guterman. "We anticipate completion of all drag strip improvements by May and will host an IHRA divisional race on July 16 - 18, 2004 which will showcase our facility. I am fortunate to have an experienced staff of track personnel which will allow us to operate smoothly during our construction phase.
