
JUNIOR DRAGSTER PROGRAMS
The IHRA Junior Dragster Program is designed to allow youth, as young as 8 and up to 18 the opportunity to race against their peers in near replica models of the models that the pro’s drive. They compete at a local track level, divisional level, as well as at the Summit Team Bracket Finals, and the new Junior Team Finals Events. These events are contested on an 1/8 mile format on an ET dial your own format or a pre-set index on a heads up breakout basis. With three levels of Junior Dragster competition, it makes this class a great starting point for competitors to learn the basic of drag racing while promoting family fun.

TEEN CHAMPIONSHIP RACING
Teen Championship Racing (TCR) allows teenagers 13 to 17 years old to compete against each other in street legal cars and trucks. The TCR program is an inexpensive way for families to get involved in drag racing and offers a chance for parents to cultivate a close working relationship with their children. A Co-Driver will accompany the TCR competitor on all runs to coach the driver and to join in the fun. TCR participants receive an IHRA Competition License, IHRA Rule Book, a one-year subscription to Drag Review magazine, and medical coverage. All races are conducted over a distance of 1/8th mile with an ET dial-in format. Cars are limited to 11.00 seconds and slower. TCR drivers may not compete in any other class except Jr. Dragster.
