HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — There’s no doubt the future of drag racing is in good hands with talented drivers like Liam Miller, a 13-year-old from Rootstown, OH.

Miller has been racing five years and competes at Quaker City Motorsports Park in a one-of-a-kind, 4-link 2003 Spitzer. He won on a holeshot in the final round of the 2023 IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering at Quaker City last July. Miller posted a .016 reaction time to go along with his pass of 8.167 seconds at 73.82 mph.

That victory earned him a spot in the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

Liam’s racing heroes are his grandpa and dad. His grandpa has nearly 50 years of racing experience. It wasn’t surprising in 2019 when Liam begged his grandpa to give him a dragster. For Liam, his favorite parts of racing are the experiences and the people he meets. A common theme in the high-speed sport, he’s found the racing community to be like family.

Unknown

Miller, who also plays basketball, baseball and golf, also enjoys the quality time he spends with his immediate family while drag racing. It’s not surprising with his interest in going fast that his favorite subjects in school are engineering and math. Once he leaves the Juniors, he hopes to have a full-size dragster and a Chevy S-10 pickup to race. He also wants to have his own stacker and toterhome.

With his dedication to the sport, don’t be surprised to see Miller achieve these and other goals. Keep checking out IHRA.com and our social media channels for more features about these talented young racers across North America.
