WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Union Dragway and the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) have reached a multi-year sanctioning agreement.

The facility started out under IHRA sanction when construction was completed in 2008 and has remained an IHRA-member track for all, but two years during a brief ownership change.

Located in Union, S.C., it is an 1/8-mile track that sits 45 minutes southeast of the racing hotbed of Spartanburg, S.C. Track operator Tony Brown keeps a full schedule of events from weekly IHRA Summit SuperSeries points series to grudge racing throughout the year.

“Union Dragway has endured a lot of changes in ownership during the time it has been an active facility, but the constant has been Tony Brown,” said IHRA Division 2 & 9 Director Josh Peake. “Tony and his crew have done a great job keeping Union up and running during some challenging times. Tony carries that passion for the sportsman racer that we at the IHRA share with him. That makes a great fit for the Union Dragway racers that compete in the IHRA sportsman focused programs.”
