State-of-the-art Xtreme Raceway Park Fills the Need for Area Racers

Wednesday, 30 May 2018
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.-  As you walk around Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris, Texas, you can still breathe in the new race track smell. Part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the brand-new facility is located conveniently off Interstate 45, and has taken ideas from social media outlets to create a track that will be sure to keep racers and fans coming to for a long time.
What was supposed to be a two-year build turned out to be an expedited one-year build of the facility after the untimely closing of Texas Raceway leaving a void for bracket-racers and fans. Additions to the build of the track along the extended the build time but made it extremely valuable for fans that attend the facility ahead of the IHRA Summit Sportsman Spectacular, June 1-3.

One of the highlight features of the facility are the “Bull Pens” which were built on raised platforms behind the starting line that feature a 40’ x40’ covered pavilion with picnic tables and commercial fans to keep fans cool during the blistering hot Texas days and night.

The exciting IHRA Summit Sportsman Spectacular gives racers the chance to race for huge payouts during the double-race weekend.  Moser Engineering Saturday features a $10,000 to-win purse and Sunday features a $5,000 to-win purse.
