Kil-Kare racer Thompson visited the winner’s circle in Sportsman with a solid .033 start and an 8.245-second pass at 84.25 mph on an 8.23 dial-in. Kyle Penn from Dragway 42 was better at the tree with a .015 elapsed time, but came up a little short with a 7.933-second run at 86.46 mph on his 7.89 dial-in.
Chris Sulkowski from Dragway 42 was the Motorcycle winner as final-round opponent Anthony Despenes from Kil-Kare broke out from his 6.18 dial-in. Sulkowski paired up a 5.418-second run at 127.55 mph against a 5.39 dial-in with a .068 reaction time. Despenes had a better start at .013, and went 6.154 seconds at 112.95 down the drag strip.
Baehr, another Dragway 42 racer, scored the Junior Dragster victory won on a holeshot with a .024 reaction time along with his 9.026-second elapsed time at 71.84 mph. Nathan Durham from Kentucky Dragway nearly matched his 12.35 dial-in with a 12.357-second run at 50.25 after leaving with a .064 reaction time.
