Special Programs designed with Sportsman racers in mind
With the IHRA’s renewed commitment to and focus on Sportsman competition, Issue 2 of DRM features a complete overview of the wide range of special programs available for everything from grassroots bracket racers to semi-pro categories such as Top Dragster and Top Sportsman.
Included are profiles of the Tournament of Champions, Summit Pro-Am Tour, Summit SuperSeries, Summit Allstars, Summit Team Finals, Moser Engineering Axle Mania, Harland Sharp Elite 8, Undercover Motorsports No. 1 Qualifier Program, Drag Review Ironman Classic, American Race Cars Free Ride Program, Junior Dragster Team Finals, and Teen Championship Racing.
Without a doubt these are the most comprehensive and rewarding programs for sportsman racers in the sport today!
Also in Issue 2 is a feature on South Carolina’s Dorchester Dragway and the large and enthusiastic DeLee family, who built the track on the family tobacco farm back in 1984.
There are further episodes of our newest features, including CSI Norwalk, with a Q&A with Stock standout Lisa Bolton, Unbuckled, a feature by Susan Wade that looks at the interesting and unique career of Brenda Grubbs, a former IHRA Stock World Champion. Larry Crum is back with another edition of As The Cookie Crumbles, and we look at the recent AARWBA All-America Team Awards dinner, where the aforementioned Mr. Crum made a presentation to the assembled media regarding the new IHRA Nitro Jam format.
In addition, our IT guru Jeff Lee explains the ins and outs of the IHRA’s multi-faceted social networking programs, and of course Aaron Polburn wraps up the issue with his often humorous, always insightful take on IHRA and the world in general in The Last Word.
