Summit Pro-Am Tour Kicks off at Immokalee This Weekend

Event: 2010 Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour

2009 Event Winners: Top Sportsman-Don Rudd (Day 1) and Rick McDonough (Day2) , Top Dragster- Jason Folk (Day 1) and Mike Ferraro (Day 2), Super Stock- Jay Slane (Day 1) and Mark Nowicki (Day 2), Stock- Anthony Bertozzi (Day 1) and Nick Folk (Day 2), Quick Rod- Troy Williams (Day 1) and Steve Muller (Day 2), Super Rod- Matt Cooke (Day 1) and Todd Thompson (Day 2), Hot Rod- Jon Siegel (Day 1) and Christopher Gueli (Day 2).

Defending Division Champions: Top Sportsman- Billy Thigpen, Top Dragster- Casey Spradlin, Super Stock- David Simmons, Stock- Myron Piatek, Quick Rod- Billy Ray Upton Jr, Super Rod- Shannon Waycaster, Hot Rod- Donald Webb.
What to expect: The first stop of the 2010 Summit Pro Am Tour will be at Ralph Hester's Immokalee Regional Raceway. For those of you that have attended this event in previous years, know that this is one event you will not want to miss. Ralph Hester pulls out all stops for this event and makes this a weekend party in where eventually a race breaks out. Ralph will open the track on Monday for those who were in attendance of the Nitro Jam at Palm Beach International Raceway for early parking. The gates will open on Friday morning at 10 am and tech will begin at 1pm and close at 9pm for early arriving participates. There will be a track hosted test n tune from 5 pm to 10 pm for $35. Saturday the gates and tech will open at 8 am. there will be 2 time trial/qualifying sessions with eliminations immediately following the 2nd time trial. Sunday the gates will open at 8 am and God Speed Church service will begin at 8 am as well. 1 time trial/ qualifying session will be at 9 am and go directly into the TOC event. Both events this weekend will count as an in division claim for all participates and Sunday's event will qualify each of the winners for the year end TOC tournament of Champions event.
Special Programs: Summit All-Star Program—Season ending event where the division champions in their respective class will compete against each other for the title at the World Finals at Virginia. Moser Engineering Axle Mania—To be eligible a racer must run a set of Moser axles and have the proper Moser Engineering decals and complete the registration form. All IHRA sportsman racers who meet the eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to qualify for a $51,000 purse, including a top prize of $22,500. American Race Cars Free Ride—At each 2010 Summit Pro-Am a random driver will be selected from the tech cards at that event. If the Pro-Am is a double two drivers will be selected. The American Race Cars Free Ride winner will be pulled at random from those tech cards at the 2010 IHRA Summit Pro-Am Banquet. Two tech cards will be pulled, the first winning a Silver Card good for a free car and driver entry at each of that driver’s 2011 in-division Divisional races. The second card pulled will determine the winner of a $10,000 gift certificate good towards the purchase of a new American Race Car.
