IHRA featured in USA Today on cusp of season opener

POSTED: 2010-01-29 07:03:00  EMAIL TO A FRIEND  PRINT VIEW

On the cusp of the IHRA Nitro Jam season opener at Palm Beach International Raceway this Friday and Saturday the racing world is abuzz over the new format and recent changes made to the Nitro Jam professional format in 2010.

Friday morning that buzz reached a new level as the Nitro Jam series was one of the featured stories in the nationally circulated USA Today in its print and online versions.

Motorsports writer Gary Graves penned a detailed article chronicling the recent changes to the format and previewing the 2010 IHRA Nitro Jam season. Graves spoke with IHRA President Aaron Polburn, 2007 Top Fuel champion Bruce Litton and Prostalgia Nitro Funny Car driver John Dunn to gain insight into the new format and how it will impact the IHRA and drag racing in general.

Friday’s article was the second IHRA story featured in a national publication this month. Earlier this month the IHRA was featured in Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal.
