2010 DIVISION 2 Heatwave SUMMIT PRO-AM SCHEDULE

IHRA’s Division 2 Heat Wave will open the season with a double wild card event at Ralph Hester's Immokalee Regional Raceway. Racers attending this event regardless of their home division, will be able to use these two events as a in division claim. Ralph continues to open up the Summit Pro Am tour every season with his event and always does it in fine fashion. This race will feature a test n tune on Friday hosted by the track. Saturday’s race is a Summit Pro Am event with the 2 time trials/ qualifying sessions and go immediately into pro am eliminations and Sunday's event will be a Sportsman National event that will qualify the winners of the event for the TOC and also use it as a in division Summit Pro Am claim for every participant. Racers will receive 1 time trial/ qualifying session before going into eliminations. Run order for this event will be Hot Rod, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Stock, Super Rod, Top Dragster and Top Sportsman.

The second stop on the Division 2 Heat Wave tour will be at West Palm Beach International Raceway on April 23-25. Friday will be a track hosted test n tune, Saturday there will be two time trial/ qualifying sessions with eliminations immediately following the second time trial. Sunday morning there will be one time trial/ qualifying session and go right into our Second of two Pro-Am events. This facility has went through a multi-million dollar upgrade recently and has turned into Florida's premier facility.

The third stop on the Division 2 Summit Pro-Am tour will be at Montgomery Motorsports Park. Jim Howard just recently signed on with the IHRA family of tracks and is excited to host his first Summit Pro Am tour event. His event is scheduled for May 21-23 with the same schedule and run order as the previous stop on the Summit Pro-Am tour.

The fourth stop of the Division 2 schedule will be at the "House of Hook" Carolina Dragway on July 16-18. Jeff and Angel Miles owner operators and racers themselves. They take pride in providing a very racer friendly atmosphere and always provide a top notch racing surface. The schedule and run order for this event will be the same as the previous events.

The fifth and final stop of the Division 2 Heat Wave will land us back at Darlington Dragway on Labor day weekend September 3-5. Bill Wilson hosted one of the largest Division 2 events last year and plans to continue the trend. The schedule and run order for this event will repeat as the previous events.
