Rockingham Dragway Hosts "Raiders" Summit Pro-Am Tour June 19-21.

Defending Division Champions: Top Sportsman- Steve Corker (Clayton, NC), Top Dragster- Bruce Holland (Lexington, SC), Super Stock- Tracy Robbins (Youngville, NC), Stock- Billy Wilson (Laurens, SC), Quick Rod- Brett Nesbitt (Graham, North Carolina), Super Rod- Ernie Knight (St. George, SC), Hot Rod- JJ Brock (Pickens, SC).
What to expect: The final stop in the Raiders divison will be at Rockingham Dragway, with Summit Pro-Am qualifying and Jr. Dragster eliminations slated for Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening will feature an ET bracket race, Stock / Super Stock combo event and the Mickey Thompson Southeastern top stock challenge. Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am eliminations will conclude the weekend’s festivities on Sunday afternoon.
Special Programs: Summit All-Star Program—Season ending event where the division champions in their respective class will compete against each other for the title at the World Finals at Rockingham.. Moser Engineering Axle Mania—To be eligible a racer must run a set of Moser axles and have the proper Moser Engineering decals and complete the registration form. All IHRA sportsman racers who meet the eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to qualify for a $51,000 purse, including a top prize of $22,500. The seventh edition of Moser Axle Mania will be run at the Northern Nationals at US 131 Motorsports Park in August of 2009. American Race Cars Free Ride—At each 2009 Summit Pro-Am a random driver will be selected from the tech cards at that event. If the Pro-Am is a double two drivers will be selected. The American Race Cars Free Ride winner will be pulled at random from those tech cards at the 2009 IHRA Summit Pro-Am Banquet. Two tech cards will be pulled, the first winning a Silver Card good for a free car and driver entry at each of that driver’s 2009 in-division Divisional races. The second card pulled will determine the winner of a $10,000 gift certificate good towards the purchase of a new American Race Car.
